Piano wire is a high-strength carbon steel spring material that is cold drawn after quenching in a lead bath. The common form is round wire. The piano wire has high tensile strength, elastic limit and fatigue resistance. The standard wire diameter ranges from 0.08 to 10.0mm, and the strength of the wire diameter below 1.0mm is in the range of 2000 to 3480MPa. Most specifications cannot be replaced by other materials. The piano wire is mainly used for dynamic load springs. When applied to valve springs, the diameter range is 1.0~6.0mm, and the control of material defects and the limit of copper content are slightly different.
